The Physician Information Technology Office (PITO) is providing funding support for an independent information technology (IT) survey being conducted as part of research led by Dr. James Lai, Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Family Practice, UBC Faculty of Medicine.
The purpose of the survey is to benchmark current IT use in physician offices and readiness for IT adoption, and to evaluate EMR implementation experience. The survey will update data captured in surveys in 2000/2001 and 2004.
The survey study will provide valuable information for the PITO program implementation.
