The process for selecting the six proponents eligible for the provision of EMR systems for BC physicians receiving PITO funding is being managed by the BC Government's Strategic Acquisitions and Technology Procurement (SATP) branch on behalf of the Ministry of Health and PITO.
On July 12th, 2007, the successful proponents to the EMR Project Request for Proposals SATP-19 (PDF) - see "supplier attachments") were notified of the evaluation results and the six successful proponents were identified. All successful proponents must also successfully complete contract negotiation with the BC government (currently underway) and conformance testing in order to become "PITO-Qualified".
Subsequent announcements will be made as contract negotiations conclude between the successful proponents and government, and as each proponent successfully completes conformance testing.
