Local Physician User Groups

November 11, 2008

The PITO Local Physician Champions are establishing local Physician User Groups ("PUGs") across the province. PUGs are groups of local physicians, or those sharing a common interest (e.g. a certain specialty province-wide), that wish to collaborate on EMR implementation or making the most of their EMRs. PUGs provide an opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and make the most of your EMR investment.

The first step is identifying those interested from each community or special interest group and establishing communications. Subsequent steps will include online collaboration tools, in-person meetings, and other activities for those interested.

If you are interested in joining an EMR Physician User Group (PUG), the first step is to visit the PUG Tool page to sign up.

For more information about the Local Physician Champion or EMR Physician User Group programs, please contact the PITO office at 604-638-2946 or by email at info@pito.bc.ca.
